West Sussex Libraries hold regular activities for children and adults including Rhymetime, Story Time, Knit and Natter, Board Games, Relax with Colouring and Reading Groups as well as extra events such as author events and drop-ins by other organisations.

Baby Rhyme Times and Toddler Time sessions offer a great opportunity for you and your child to share rhymes, have fun together and join in with other families. Singing rhymes together can also play an important part in your child’s speech and language development, communication skills, confidence and social skills.

Storymagic sessions can be beneficial for those whose first language isn’t English.

All activities are free and everyone is welcome. Please contact your nearest library for details:

Details of recreational clubs and societies can be found online via our Clubs and Societies database.

New activity and social groups are being set up in local areas so regularly check noticeboards in libraries, ask staff or contact the Community Hub who may have more details about an activity.
