I would highly recommend this book due to it's interesting and captivating plot, which the author cleverly builds up to a gripping climax. The story flits between the two narratives threads of teenage boys Noah and blaze, set one hundred years apart yet closely linked as the reader quickly recognizes that these two youths share the same incredible yet hazardous gift of 'drawing the future'. A haunting and eerie tale introducing fascinating contextual differences and packed with malevolent foes who seek to suppress the boys, labelling them as 'freaks' and 'witches' due to their unruly ability, with an ambiguous ending that will leave you with many questions only the reader can attempt to answer. A thoroughly enjoyable and compelling read!
