Your local libraries are inviting you to read for pleasure and share your love of books by taking part in the Chichester District Reading Challenge 2022.
2021 was another year of change and uncertainty for so many of us, and it’s never been more important to stay connected with others and look after your mental health and wellbeing.
Join us in making twelve reading resolutions that we hope will inspire you, challenge you and connect you to fellow readers in Chichester, Midhurst, Petworth, Selsey, Southbourne, The Witterings and surrounding areas.
You might want to join us as an individual reader, looking to kick start a reading habit or get out of a reading rut. Or perhaps you would like to join us as part of a reading group? Our challenge prompts are suitable for readers of any age, so why not take on the challenge as a family? However you choose to be involved, everyone is welcome.
Sign up via the online form below or in your local library.

You can join at any time, and don’t worry if you miss a month or join us later in the year. It’s the taking part that counts!
There are lots of ways to keep in touch with us:
- Talk to your local library staff about what you’re reading
- Join our dedicated Facebook group
- Tweet us @WSCCLibraries using the hashtag #ChiReadingChallenge
Finally, we hope to get together in December 2022 to celebrate our year of shared reading. Sign up to the challenge to keep in touch!
