Now that Storytimes are returning to our libraries, we will no longer be posting a different session here each week. Instead, you can watch and join in with all our past online Storytimes on the West Sussex Libraries YouTube channel.

We will be posting the occasional story for special events so keep a lookout for these!

Welcome to Story Magic online: Anna's Allotment Bake.

This multi-sensory story is fun and suitable for everyone but especially brilliant for children with additional needs.

To take part in this multi-sensory story you may like to gather a few of the following items from around the home to use as props to help bring the story alive and engage with the senses.

The items we will be using for this story are:

1. Handful of long grass or weeds

2. Packet of seeds, or some grains of rice in a sealed envelope

3. Piece of brown/green cardboard with three 5cm holes cut in it

4. Carrot

5. Torch

6. Apron

7. Mixing bowl and spoon

8. Kitchen timer, clock, or watch

9. Pot of cinnamon or vanilla essence (or a cake!)

If you don’t have an item at home you could swap it for another!
