“I remember being in the front line, there was I think, there was 5, I think, people killed beside me, they came and sewn them up and we buried them and I had to dig them up two or three days later and we identified one man by his ring, his name was Doug, he had a ring on, then we re-buried them. And, I think – I don't want to mix things up or say anything wrong - I was given a thing to put on their grave with their names on and the shelling was going on and we stuck this thing in the ground.”
