West Sussex Libraries Reading Challenge 2023
Your local libraries are inviting you to read for pleasure and share your love of books by taking part in the West Sussex Libraries Reading Challenge 2023.
2022 was another year of change and uncertainty for so many of us, and it’s never been more important to stay connected with others and look after your mental health and wellbeing.
Join us in making twelve reading resolutions that we hope will inspire you, challenge you and connect you to fellow readers across West Sussex.
Click on the links below to discover a list of recommended reads for each month:
January - A book to make you feel good
February - A book that has been adapted for the screen
April - A children’s classic
August - A book set by the sea
September - A prize-winning book
October - A book about books
November - A book set in the past or the future
December - A biography
WILDCARD - Substitute any month of the challenge with any book from your to-read list!
You might want to join us as an individual reader, looking to kick-start a reading habit or get out of a reading rut. Or perhaps you would like to join us as part of a reading group? Our challenge prompts are suitable for readers of any age, so why not take on the challenge as a family? However you choose to be involved, everyone is welcome.
You can join at any time, and don’t worry if you miss a month or join us later in the year. It’s the taking part that counts!
There are lots of ways to keep in touch with us:
